Long time, no update

Instead of posting info on every mix I post, I am just going to throw a bunch of links up. I will tell you what they are and similair artists to check for but I am not going to write long entries all the time anymore (I'm sure I will, occasionally). I can't figure out how the hell to do the equivalent of an LJ-cut on this thing, so forgive me if the posts are long. Here are a few links for today.

Temper D is a drum n bass DJ who many people say is the next Andy C (I thought Friction was the next Andy C... whatever). His selection is pretty dark, which is cool. live at alterego 4-18-06. A bit of a different style, less upfront than most of his sets. And no, I don't know why that word is in the file host's name.

Erol Alkan is an electro producer from the UK, this is a live set of his from July 2005. I'm not sure if it is a live performance or a DJ set, though. right click, save as

Spring Mix

I made this compilation for a friend, but decided to upload it because I thought some people would like to hear it. When starting out, I not only thought of what I listen to in the spring, but I also tried to capture what a whole day sounds like. Waking up to Chicane's "Overture" and stepping outside into the sun to Manual's "Clear Skies Above the Coastline Cathedral". When Pelican's "(blank)" comes on I thought about coming inside to cool off and relax. Ulrich Schnauss' "Knuddelmaus" sounds like the sun going down, and Planet Funk's "Inside All the People (Harvey's Ibiza Sleepy Remix)" is a nice break in the evening before people come over to BBQ and hang out. Explosions in the Sky, Horace Andy and War keep the mix at somewhat of a brief uptempo stage until Cymande's "Changes" comes on, and everyone is sitting around talking. When it ends, everyone goes their separate ways and I am anxious and excited for the next day to come so I can do it all again.

This mix was mixed/edited using Acid Music Studio 5.0
